Hi, I'm Dexter.
I am a 3 year old neutered male Labradoodle. I am up to date on all of my vaccinations and I will be getting a microchip very soon. I have been on regular heartworm and flea preventative. I am house trained. My foster family says I'm a really good boy. My first Mom was older and then she got really sick. Before anything bad happened, she wanted to make sure that I was in a safe place while I waited for a new family.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the water, in fact I swim in the water trough every day!
I also love to play fetch and tug-o-war. I have lots of buddies at my foster
home and I get along with all of them really well. I also REALLY like the kids
that live here. They are older kids, but I think I would be fine with younger
kids too. But when I get excited I forget how big I am sometimes so we will
have to be careful with me and smaller kids. I wouldn't mean to knock them
down, but I might in my excitement. There are a couple of cats here at my foster
home and they don't really interest me all that much. So if my new family has
a cat I will leave it alone most likely. I would be happiest in a home with
a pool so I could swim all the time, or even a family with a boat that goes
out a lot. I think I would adore dock diving, so if anyone wants a dog for
that, I'm your guy. I would definitely enjoy a family that has someone to play
fetch with me a lot and take me for walks and runs sometimes. Honestly I really
don't have any problems. I was a little upset and I whined for a while when
I first came here because it was all new to me, I only left my first home a
few times in my whole life. But since I have been here my foster family has
taken me to get groomed and the groomer said I was really good. I also got
to go to work with my foster Mom one day that was exciting (She works at PetSmart
sometimes)! And I've been on a few walks with the teenage girl that lives here,
I enjoyed that. So when I get to my new family I may be a little upset at first
but I will be ok pretty quickly, once I am sure I am staying. If you have room
